The Communication Corporation has put the face one the faceless. By borrowing from the past and the present, they’re forging a new future on the dance floor. Formed in 2006 by Ronen Ben on Keytar and Jason Randall on Bass at SUNY Purchase and later joined by Geoff Lewitt on Drums, they began their hostile takeover of New York. Playing outdoor festivals to overcrowded clubs, they quickly gained a devoted following of people looking for a release from such a serious world.

With “I.P.O.” (initial.public.offering.) mixed by Dan Romer of Drawing Number One Productions, the band let’s you know right from the first track that its time to get to business. The music is an infectious riot with influences spanning Talking Heads, Gogol Bordello, Devo, and apocalyptic cabarets combined the attitude of Prince and the Beastie Boys. It’s all back by a solid pop sensibility that makes the old feel young and the young feel alive.

With the belief that going to see a band is going to see a performance, the shows are a carnival with masks, crowd percussion, costumed entourages (balloonmen, dancing choirs, hard working Americans, etc.) and a grab bag of theatrics. The band pulls out all stops to get the make the audience feel like part of the show.

The Communication Corporation is ready to bring the dance floor to your town with one question for you: In this day of political and economic strife who can you trust but your corporation?
