First Strike, is a Pop-Punk/Alternative band from Philly, PA. Forming in late 2007, the band had to endure many changes until the final lineup was solidified. Once things were in order, First Strike became a band on a mission. Not to make millions, have groupies, and pyro but to just ROCK OUT no matter where they played. The band has been a well known act in the surrounding cities of Philadelphia for over a year now and is striving to build upon it's current fan base. In the late days of December 2008, the band embarked on an East Coast Tour hitting major cities (Baltimore - Virginia Beach - Charlotte, NC - Myrtle Beach, SC) and widening their fan base across the globe. On January 1st, 2009 the band released it's first EP titled "Welcome Home". This album consists of 5 emotional and sentimental tracks influenced by punk rock greats Blink 182, Green Day, Third Eye Blind, New Found Glory, The Starting Line and the like. This band is constantly working hard whether it be promoting, writing music, booking shows, designing fliers, you name it. Not a day goes by without putting a huge effort into what we love. No matter what your style of music may be, there is no doubt that you will walk away in enjoyment after a First Strike show. If you think that's enough, you're wrong. This band doesn't take a break, and is already writing new music and booking more shows. With a sound comparable to many of the late 90's early 2000's Pop-Punk bands. First Strike prides themselves on being a band that writes from life and straight from the heart. We write music that can reach people and help them out in any way they need it. We play to anyone and everyone who is willing to listen. The music is meant to give hope and comfort to people of all ages that find sanctuary in music. It's also meant to make you laugh and enjoy yourself to the fullest. If you need it, you can find your support in a First Strike song, and that is something you can hold them to. "We're First Strike, you may not like us, but you will remember us". For more of our music visit us at www.myspace.com/firststrike08

Members Vinny (Guitar/Vox)- Extremely hyper about the band, and extremely good looking. A threat to promoters and the ladies alike.

Barry (Bass/Vox)- His Bass isn't the only thing that cranks, as he is the loudest one in the band. A triple threat with looks, volume, and talent.

R.J (Guitar)- Hands down the quietest dude in the band, but not his guitar. This dude can shred.

Dave (Drums)- The newest member, but he's one of us now, and there is no turning back. This dude has mad chops...Like, really mad chops!

hey dude,
good to hear from you. we packaged our cd's with Discmakers, and i believe the New Liberty bassist works for them.. that was the connection. Discmakers is a solid place, professional and pretty cheap if you get a bunch made. i think ours were a little under a dollar per cd.
listen i wanna try and book a show in philly if possible for the Aug. 1st weekend. we had plans to go to VA beach but it's not working out so we're trying to do a quick run through philly around then. do you think you could help us out?
