Bio The Kevin Says Stage started out as a picnic table on the Vans Warped Tour in 2000 or 2001, after bands kept showing up telling the tour's production staff that "Kevin said" they could play. Over the years it evolved from a picnic table to a 15x15 tent with its own (crappy) PA, and in 2004 it fell into the hands of Sarah Saturday, who became the "check-in" person in production on the 2004 Warped Tour, for all the bands who claimed that Kevin said they could play.

After witnessing the chaos surrounding the stage that summer, Sarah suggested to Kevin that they put up an application on the tour's website for all these bands to submit ahead of time. The idea was that if they could book the stage ahead of time, they could find the hardworking bands who deserved to play the stage, and the bands would have enough advance warning to actually promote their show(s), thereby building up the stage's presence and profile on the tour.

The plan worked, and by 2006 the stage had grown out of its tent and onto a solar-powered stage-on-wheels, with Hot Topic as its title sponsor. In 2007, the "Hot Topic Kevin Says Stage" welcomed Sabian and West 49 as sponsors, and the solar-powered stage tripled in size and quality, commanding attention of tour-goers and bands alike. By 2009, the stage was considered one of the bigger stages on the tour, and a respected place to discover up-and-coming, independent, and unsigned artists from all over the world.

EARN IT YOURSELF will return for a second year as an official sponsor of the 2010 VANS WARPED TOUR with the second annual EARN IT YOURSELF SPOT on the tour's Kevin Says Stage. At each tour stop, one band will be handpicked to perform on the stage.

This is bigger than the Warped Tour. We are trying to make big, positive changes in the music industry, from the underground, up!
